Who we are, and what these terms cover

The service is operated by AIRSHELF PTE. LTD. (UEN 202553647C), a company incorporated in Singapore. These terms govern your use of the AirShelf Catalog MCP server at https://mcp.airshelf.ai/mcp, the per-merchant endpoints at https://mcp.airshelf.ai/<merchant>/mcp, and the pages on this site. By connecting to the server or using the site, you agree to them. If you are connecting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

What the service is

AirShelf publishes a cross-vendor product catalog that an AI agent can read: search it, look up a product, compare products on their specifications, find cross-vendor equivalents, and — when a buyer wants to proceed — send a quote request to the relevant merchant's sales team.

We are not a shop. We do not sell the products in the catalog, hold stock, take payment, or ship anything. Every purchase is a transaction between you and the merchant, on the merchant's own terms.

The service is free and needs no account. We may introduce paid tiers later; these terms will say so before we do.

Accuracy of catalog data

Catalog records are built from manufacturer datasheets and product pages, and each record carries provenance showing where a value came from. We work hard at this, but the data is provided as is. Specifications change, sources go stale, and extraction can be wrong.

Results from a live lookup are labelled verification: "live-unverified" with a source_url. That label means what it says: we found it just now on the open web and have not verified it. Confirm any specification with the merchant or manufacturer before you rely on it for a purchase, particularly for fitment, compatibility, safety, regulatory approval, or anything else where being wrong is expensive.

Quotes, prices, and what is not an offer

Nothing returned by the service is an offer to sell, a binding price, or a commitment on behalf of any merchant. Calling request_quote does not create a contract — it asks a merchant to get in touch. The request is held until the person named in it opens a confirmation link sent to their own address; only then does it reach the merchant. Anything agreed afterwards is between you and the merchant.

Some merchants gate pricing behind a confidentiality agreement. To unlock it through get_pricing or request_discount, you accept a standard AirShelf pricing confidentiality agreement, shown in full before you accept. It is our agreement, not the merchant's — it names the merchant on whose behalf the pricing is disclosed, and sets the obligations itself: the pricing is confidential, you may use it only to evaluate a business relationship with that merchant, and the obligation runs for two years from acceptance. The usual carve-outs apply for information you already lawfully knew, that becomes public without breach, or that you receive lawfully elsewhere.

Accepting is recorded: signer name, company, timestamp, IP address, user agent, and a hash of the exact text you accepted. We separately log that a disclosure happened — to whom, when, and which products — so the merchant has an audit trail. Unlocking a price is not a quote, an offer, or a commitment to transact. Do not redistribute pricing you obtain this way. A merchant may also have its own agreement with you; ours does not replace it.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Submit a quote request, contact detail, or unlock request that is not a genuine purchase enquiry, or that names a person who has not asked you to act for them.
• Use another person's contact details, or supply details you are not entitled to share.
• Bulk-extract the catalog to reconstitute it as a competing dataset, or work around rate limits.
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or try to reach data belonging to another merchant or buyer.
• Present catalog data as verified where it is labelled unverified, or strip provenance from records you republish.
• Use the service unlawfully, or in breach of trade-control or sanctions rules that apply to you.

The quote path is deliberately gated so that an agent cannot cause a sales team to cold-contact a person who never agreed to it. Do not try to defeat that gate.

Availability and rate limits

The service is rate-limited per IP, and the quote path is limited further. We do not promise any level of uptime or performance, and we may change, throttle, suspend, or withdraw the service or any endpoint at any time, including your access to it if you breach these terms.

Intellectual property

Product names, model numbers, trademarks, datasheets, and images belong to their respective owners, and appear here to identify the products they describe. Their appearance is not an endorsement of AirShelf by those owners, or of them by us.

The compiled catalog, its structure, our golden-record data, and this site are ours. You may use responses to answer buyers' questions and to help them purchase. You may not resell the catalog, or use it to train a model that substitutes for it, without our written agreement.

Third-party merchants and services

Links and quote requests lead to merchants we do not control. We are not responsible for their sites, terms, prices, products, or conduct. We rely on service providers to operate (hosting, database, storage, rate limiting, email, and search or extraction providers used for live lookups); what they receive is described in our Privacy Policy.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that catalog data is accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AirShelf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service — including a purchase decision made on catalog data. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free service, is nothing) or SGD 100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Questions, or to report misuse: founders@airshelf.ai.
